The original Classic Labels was formed in 1979 in Queens, New York, manufacturing pressure-sensitive and specialty labels. Innovation, passion, and a commitment to excellence enabled Classic Labels to become one of the most successful and recognized minority-owned businesses in the state of New York.

Classic Labels was the recipient of numerous awards for production, supply, and service, with a client list that included Kodak, Avon, Revlon, Seagrams, P&G, and Colgate.

Steven Ayala

Steven Ayala

Chief Executive Officer, Founder

Steven Ayala has served as the Chief Executive Officer and President since May 2019. Mr. Ayala leads the company’s short- and long-term goals and develops the strategies to achieve them. He oversees the day-to-day operations, including managing resources and finances. As the CEO, he has established the company’s culture and values. He is responsible for attracting and retaining the best talent.

Under his leadership, the company has expanded its capabilities to include manufacturing specialty labels, folding cartons, inserts, assembly, and warehousing for the markets in healthcare and the pharmaceutical industry.

Exceeding Global Market Requirements

He leads a team of experts and has a vast network to bring the Classic Labels Packaging Group customer the best in specialty packaging. He understands the complex requirements of consumer brands in global beauty, healthcare, and pharmaceutical markets. He constantly creates the best standards by meeting and exceeding customers’ needs.

Extensive Industry Experience

Prior to Classic Labels Packaging Group, from 2017 to 2019, Mr. Ayala worked in sales for MPS, Multiple Packaging Solutions, and WestRock, industry competitors. From 1985 to 2016, Mr. Ayala served as Senior Vice President for Classic Labels, a converter of pressure-sensitive labels produced for major corporations on a global basis.

Brendan P. Holden

Brendan P. Holden

Chief Strategic & Sustainability Officer

Brendan Holden is a Global Supply Chain & Operations Executive, best known as a catalyst for transforming Supply Chain into an innovative platform that enhances profitability. His ability to engage stakeholders across an end-to-end supply chain has helped him create collaborative solutions in various industries and countries for over 20 years. He has extensive experience working with PE on both start-up and turnaround situations to improve company valuation.

Global Footprint and Market Experience

Brendan’s expertise in the consumer-packaged goods industry, coupled with his global market experience, makes him a global supply chain powerhouse. Brendan has an international footprint in the Americas (United States, Mexico, Canada, Columbia, and Argentina), EMEA (the Netherlands, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Greece), and APAC (China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Thailand). He has internationally covered an extensive list of consumer-packaged goods with additional experience in telecommunications in areas of internet, video, and cellular technology.

Academic and Scientific Foundation

Brendan received an MBA in Economics from Iona College Hagen School of Business, a Master of Science in Chemistry from Long Island University, and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry & Biology from Springfield College.

Customer Success Manager

Ariana Sher is a dedicated Customer Success Manager at Classic Labels Packaging Group, where she leverages her extensive project management experience in the medical PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) manufacturing industry to ensure client satisfaction and success.

Coordinating Complex Projects and Processes

With a keen eye for detail and a passion for efficiency, Ariana excels in coordinating complex projects, streamlining processes, and fostering strong client relationships. Her background in project management equips her with the skills to handle diverse challenges, making her an invaluable asset to both her team and clients. Ariana is committed to delivering exceptional service and innovative solutions, helping clients achieve their goals and maximize their potential.

Business Education and Global Travels

Ariana received a BA in Business at Baruch College in New York and a global business course in Copenhagen, Denmark. She has traveled extensively throughout the US, Europe, and Asia. Currently resides in Barcelona, Spain.

Michael McCumiskey

CPA-Chief Financial Officer

Mike is an experienced CFO and CPA with 20 years of experience in accounting and finance. Mike is a graduate of the College of Staten Island, New York, with a degree in accounting, finance, and economics. Throughout his career, Mike has assisted many companies in their growth and sound accounting and finance departments. Mike has helped companies that were loss-making or breakeven to become profitable through expense reduction through operational efficiency, pricing and margin increases, and renegotiating debt.

Managing Complex Operations and Supply Chains

Mike has worked closely with Steven over the last 5 years to cultivate an efficient back office and operational team to serve our Fortune 500 clients. Mike has worked on a large packaging project for COVID-19 test kits during the pandemic, which involved many supply chain, packaging, and delivery issues that needed creative and industry knowledge in order to meet demands.

Establishing Infrastructure for International Companies

Mike has worked for several years with international companies entering the US. In this capacity, Mike assisted with the incorporation of the foreign business in the US. In addition to the incorporation, Mike set up the back office infrastructure, such as the ERP systems, bank account, payroll, health insurance & retirement plans for the employees, warehouse, and logistics. Once the companies were set up to do business in the US, Mike will maintain their books and records, all compliance needs, and further expand the business as they grow in the US market. Mike routinely traveled to Europe during this period to meet and further develop the business relationships.
